What is your favorite vacation spot?
I love the beach, and I grew up in Southern California near the ocean, so I find great solace in the sound of the waves, searching for shells and watching the sunset. My favorite beach vacation spot is the Bahamas. My husband and I have been several times and a couple of years ago he arranged a big birthday celebration for me with my three boys and their spouses. It was the most memorable birthday, ever!
What do you like to do outside of work?
I like to garden and cook and travel to visit family and friends. I also like to see ballet and theatre and try to get in a show during my travels to pay homage to my youth(!) and visit dear friends who are still working in the arts.
Who are three people, living or dead, you’d like to host for dinner, and why?
- My dad. He passed away over 30 years ago. I have so many questions I would like to ask him and wish he could have known his grandsons.
- My former ballet teacher and mentor, Willy Burmann, who sadly passed away during COVID. He could wax philosophical about anything!
- My Grandpa, Chet. He lived to be 102 and was an architect who worked on the sets at MGM studios during its heyday, including The Wizard of Oz! He was mostly deaf during the last part of his life so it would be nice to have a conversation where we can fully understand each other!
